Self-host
M3UTool self-host runs the M3UTool editor on your own computer or server instead of on editor.dontv.shop. This chapter covers what you need, the one-line install on Windows and Linux, signing in, copying your account over and keeping your install up to date.
Which path is yours
Path A: a new install. You start with an empty editor on your own machine.
- Check the Requirements and create your M3UTool key.
- Install with one command: Install on Windows or Install on Linux.
- Open the editor: First sign-in.
- Add your playlists and customers as you know it from editor.dontv.shop, then give your customers your own address: Address, domain and HTTPS.
Path B: move from editor.dontv.shop. You already have playlists and customers on editor.dontv.shop and want them on your own machine.
- Check the Requirements, then install on Windows or Linux.
- Bring everything over in one go: Copy my account.
- Give your customers your self-host address: Address, domain and HTTPS.
