Advanced editing
This chapter covers the tools that change many channels at once: cleaning up names, removing copies, rewriting stream addresses, keeping a fallback ready for when a stream dies, and carrying your edits over to another playlist.
- How the tools work: where the tools are, how every Tools window is built, how you choose what it changes, and how to take a run back.
- Fix names: give channels their proper names, then take country codes, quality tags and brackets out of any name.
- Find & replace: find a word in your names and take it out, replace it, or move the channels that carry it to the bin.
- Prefix, suffix and case: add or take off text at the start or end of names, and change their capital letters.
- Remove duplicates: keep one copy of each channel and move the rest to the Bin.
- Change stream addresses: move to a new provider, replace a word in the addresses, or switch between .ts and .m3u8.
- Fallbacks: fold copies of a channel into one, so a fallback takes over when the main one dies.
- Copy edits: put your names, guide ids, numbers and logos onto a matching playlist.
- FAQ: common questions about the advanced tools.
