Logos

FAQ

M3UTool leaves a channel alone when it is not sure which logo is right. Usually the name is too cluttered, or the channel is small and not in the library. Fix the names and click Find logos again, or pick a logo by hand. More in Pick a logo.

Q: A channel got the logo of a channel from another country. How do I stop that?

Set the country of the group on the Groups tab, then match again. The country decides which version of a logo is used. For one channel, search the right logo with Find logo.

Q: Will Match logos overwrite the logos I set by hand?

Only when Only channels without a logo is switched off. Switch it on to fill the gaps and leave every existing logo alone.

Q: Do the logos show in TiviMate and other players?

Yes. Your customers' players get every logo as a full address on your own domain, so they show in the M3UTool apps and in other players alike.

Q: Can I use my own logo files?

Yes. Put the image somewhere online, then paste its full address in Logo URL in the channel's details on the Logos tab. It saves when you click out of the box. For many channels at once, use Advanced logo & guide in the selection panel.

Q: Why is there no Logos tab under Movies and Series?

Movies and series have posters, and those come from TMDB together with the plot and the year. More in Posters & info.

Switch on the Match logos step in Playlist automation. Every update from your provider then ends with a logo match for the new channels. More in Playlist automation.

Q: I matched logos by mistake. Can I go back?

Yes. Click Undo in the top bar, as long as it is the last change on the playlist. It puts back the logos of every channel the run changed. This works for Use N logos in the Match logos window, for Match logos on a selection or a group, and for a logo set with Advanced logo & guide. The Match logos step in Playlist automation is not in Undo; restore a backup for that. More in Undo and Backups and restore.
