Getting started

FAQ

Questions new resellers ask in their first days with M3UTool.

Q: Does M3UTool come with channels?

No. M3UTool is an editor. Every channel, movie and series in your playlists comes from the provider you buy from. You bring their Xtream login or M3U link, and M3UTool works on your copy of it.

Q: Do I have to install anything?

No. The editor runs in your browser at editor.dontv.shop. If you want M3UTool on your own computer or server instead, see How self-host works.

Q: Is there a free trial?

Yes. A new account gets 14 days free, with every feature. It starts when you link your Discord account, and each Discord account gets one trial. During the trial you can check up to 5,000 streams a day. Self-host comes with paid plans from €40 a year. More in Create your account.

Q: Do my customers sign in to the editor?

No. The editor is for you only. Your customers get their own login, which they use in the M3UTool app or in any player app. More in How customers work.

Q: Will my edits be lost when my provider changes the list?

No. M3UTool keeps its own copy of your playlist. A refresh adds the provider's new channels and moves gone ones to the bin, while your names, logos, groups and order stay. More in Refresh a playlist.

Q: Which players can my customers use?

The M3UTool apps with your brand, if your plan includes branded players, and any player app that takes an Xtream login or an M3U link, for example TiviMate or Smarters. More in Use other players.

Q: I forgot my password. What now?

Click Forgot password? on the sign-in form and enter your username or email. You get a link to choose a new password. It is valid for one hour.

Q: What happens when my plan runs out?

You can still sign in, and you land on the Plans page. Your playlists and customer feeds are paused until you pick a plan again. Nothing is deleted. More in Plans and limits.

Q: Where do I get help?

Open Tickets in the icon bar on the left and write to the M3UTool team. You can attach screenshots. More in Support tickets.
