Common questions about everyday work in the editor.
Q: Do I have to save my changes?
No. Renames, moves, drags, the switches and the group actions save at once. In the detail panel, the name, Number, guide id, Shift, Logo URL and Channel link save when you click out of the box or press Enter. More in How the editor works.
Q: When do my customers see a change?
The next time their app or player loads the playlist. Most players do that when they start, or on a schedule you can set in the player.
Q: I deleted something by mistake. How do I get it back?
Right after the delete, click Undo in the top bar. Later, open the Bin tab, find it and click Restore. More in Undo and The bin.
Q: What is the difference between hiding and deleting?
Both keep a channel away from your customers. A hidden channel stays in your editor with an orange edge. A deleted channel goes to the bin, and a refresh does not bring it back. More in Hide or delete.
Q: Why can I not drag a channel?
Dragging works when a group is open and no search, filter or status button like Offline is on. It also does not work for series. Clear the search and filters, click the group and try again. More in Sort and reorder.
Q: Why did my channel numbers change?
Sorting and dragging rewrite the numbers so they follow the new order. The numbers your customers see always match the order in the editor. More in Sort and reorder.
Q: Will a refresh bring back channels I deleted?
No, not while they are in the bin. Only a channel you deleted permanently can come back, as a new channel, if your provider still carries it. More in The bin.
Q: How do I find all channels without a logo or TV guide?
Open Filters and pick None under Logo, or Unmapped under TV guide. Then select everything that matches to fix them in one go. More in Search and filter.
Q: Where are my movies and series?
Click Movies or Series in the icon bar on the left. They work like Live TV, with their own groups, bin and a Posters & info tab. More in How posters and info work.
Q: Is there a list of keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. Press ? in the editor, when you are not typing in a field.
