FAQ
Q: The Check window says 0 will be checked. Why?
A check skips every stream that was tested in the last 12 hours, so right after a check there is nothing left to test in that group. To test a channel now anyway, use Quick check. More in Quick check.
Q: A channel plays for my customer but shows Offline. How can that be?
The stream may have been down at the moment of the check, or the provider refused because all connections of the login were busy. Run a Quick check to see the current state. When Reliability stays high, the channel is usually fine and was down only for a moment.
Q: A channel shows Online but my customer sees a black screen. Why?
A check tells you whether the stream plays from M3UTool. Your customer's player may need .m3u8 instead of .ts, or their own internet may be too slow for the quality. Tick that channel, open Change provider… under Tools and try .ts / .m3u8. More in Change stream addresses.
Q: Why are my PPV channels never checked?
PPV and event channels are left out of checks, because they are often off air between events and would show as dead. Test one during its event with Quick check.
Q: Does checking use up my provider's connections?
Each test opens one connection for a few seconds. The checker never opens more at once than Max connections in Playlist settings, under Provider accounts. Set it to your provider's limit, and add extra logins under Extra accounts on the same line to check faster. More in How checking works.
Q: How many streams can I check per day?
That depends on your plan. When a check is bigger than what is left today, part of it runs now and the automatic check does the rest later. More in Plans and limits.
Q: Where did my dead channels go?
When Park the dead ones is on, offline channels move to the Not working tab of the Bin after every check. They come back to their group by themselves when a later check finds them online. More in Not working channels.
Q: Almost everything went offline at once. What happened?
That is nearly always a problem at your provider, or an expired login. M3UTool then parks nothing, so your groups stay as they were. Check your provider login, wait a while and run Only the offline ones.
Q: Can I stop a check that is running?
Yes. Click Stop in the console bar at the bottom of the editor. Streams that were not tested yet keep their last result.
