Guide clock
Some players, Smarters is the usual one, show the Guide a few hours off for some users. The programme on screen then does not match the guide, and catch-up plays the wrong programme. Guide clock fixes this for one user, without touching anyone else. Follow these steps to set the guide clock for a user.
Steps
- Open the user: In Users, click the user in the list.
- Open Your source: Click the Your source tab.
- Pick the shift: In Guide clock, choose as many hours as the guide is off. Example: the guide is 2 hours off, so try +2 h. If the guide is then 4 hours off, pick -2 h instead. It saves by itself.

- Refresh the player: Ask the user to refresh the guide in their player, or to sign out and in again.
The options
- No shift: The guide time is left as it is. This is right for most users.
- -12 h to +12 h: Moves the clock the user's player is told by whole hours. When their player asks for catch-up, M3UTool takes the shift back off, so the replay still starts at the right moment.
Good to know
- Guide clock is only for other players that read the Xtream login. The M3UTool apps and the Guide link ignore it, so leave it at No shift for users who watch in the M3UTool apps.
- It is set per user, so one user's fix never moves the guide for your other users.
- If the guide is off for everyone, the cause is the guide itself, not the user. More in Guide time shift.
