How M3UTool works

M3UTool is an editor for playlist resellers. You bring the playlist you buy from your provider, clean it up, check that it works and hand it to your users under your own name. M3UTool does not sell streams: everything in your playlists comes from your own provider.

Where it lives

M3UTool runs in your browser at editor.m3utool.com. There is nothing to install. If you prefer to run it on your own computer or server, see How self-host works.

The path from provider to user

  1. You import: You give M3UTool your provider's Xtream login or M3U link. M3UTool reads every stream, movie and series, and you pick the groups you want. More in Add a playlist.
  2. M3UTool keeps its own copy: From then on you work on your copy, never on the provider's list. Your names, logos, groups and order belong to you.
  3. You clean it up: Fix names, sort groups, match logos and map the Guide in the editor. More in How the editor works.
  4. You check it: M3UTool opens each stream the way a player does and tells you which ones work. More in How checking works.
  5. You add users: Each user gets a login, an end date, a device limit and the groups you choose. More in How users work.
  6. Your users watch: In the M3UTool apps with your logo, or in any player app with an Xtream login or an M3U link. More in The M3UTool apps.

What happens automatically

What you decide

How the video reaches your users

M3UTool does not carry the video itself. When a user presses play, M3UTool sends the player on to your provider's stream. So every viewer uses a connection on a provider line, the same as if the user used the provider's login directly. Your users never see that login, and they never sign in to the editor.

Note: What your users see is your copy of the playlist, without the streams you hid or deleted. A change you make reaches their player the next time it loads the playlist.
